Colleen Urffer, Resource Development Coordinator

Originally from Boylston, Massachusetts, Colleen Urffer enjoys life in Colorado, first working seasonally in Canon City, and then moving to Woodland Park in 2014. Colleen is currently a graduate student at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, earning a master’s degree in Public Administration. Serving others has always been a passion, from life as an AmeriCorps volunteer, to working with the elderly at the Little Sisters of the Poor nursing home, to home repairs in the heart of Appalachia with the Christian Appalachian Project. After several years working as a wildland firefighter, Colleen is thrilled to be part of the team of Habitat for Humanity of Teller County. Colleen also works as an assistant coach for the Colorado Novas synchronized swim team. She loves dogs, playing the flute, gardening, the outdoors, tango dancing, creative writing, and one day dreams of publishing a novel.
